Curiosity and pushing some limits, were always Asia's speed. Asia became spatially aware as young as four while living through a full gut rehab of an 100 year old bungalow in Oak Park, Il. During this process (and long after) her family never turned down an open house.
Her father was a foreman in construction and her mother is a flight attendant. Asia spent time in trusted homes of family and friends while her parents were working and became a natural at being at home in a variety of spaces. When she traveled with her mother she learned about the great diversity of ways that people create home.
Her Grandmother, Granny Anne (seen standing, to the left), was a huge influence and inspiration of all things creativity.
Through watching her father and eventually working with him Asia learned not only how to be at home in many places and spaces but also how to technically build the spaces themselves. It was not until later in young adulthood that she connected the dots and recognized the obvious alignment creating a career path.
